That instinct—to say yes, always, and to deliver flawlessly—transformed us. What started as a venue became a collective of strategists. Today, eria conceives, plans, and produces events across the country: intimate dinners, private celebrations, brand launches, corporate offsites. Each one intelligent in design, exacting in execution, and unforgettable in memory.
Our Sausalito home remains the heart of eria, and more venues are on the horizon. But geography has never defined us. What defines us is discipline, taste, and the refusal to accept limits.
Because at eria, hospitality is strategy. And strategy, done well, leaves nothing to chance.
Nikita Khandheria is not a traditional restaurateur. She is a strategist, an economist by training, and an entrepreneur by instinct. Born in Marin, raised in India, educated across Scotland and the U.S., she brings a global perspective shaped by discipline, resilience, and an uncommon ability to see patterns others miss. Her career has always been defined by building—whether it was leading social initiatives in rural India at twelve, arguing cases in dependency court at sixteen, or turning a struggling waterfront property into one of Sausalito’s most sought-after destinations before she was twenty-two.
What began as Ditas, a single restaurant, quickly revealed something larger. Guests didn’t just want dinner—they wanted experiences. They wanted strategy, creativity, and execution. Nikita delivered, transforming Ditas into a hub for private events and brand activations, then reimagining it altogether as eria: a venue and a full event strategy firm. She acquired the remainder from her investors and renamed it after her family name—khandheria—a signature on everything that leaves the brand, a promise that it will always be exactly what you need it to be.
Alongside, she scaled and sold a food manufacturing company for $14M less than a year after acquiring it, further proving her strength in foresight, business acumen, and timing.
Nikita’s vision for eria is unapologetically ambitious: to redefine what an event company can be. Not just a beautiful venue in Sausalito, but a global portfolio of signature spaces—each one intelligent in design, strategically located, and built to host the kinds of gatherings that move culture forward. Weddings that feel cinematic, launches that make markets listen, fundraising dinners that close rounds.
But the venue is only the beginning. eria is equally a strategy firm—designing go-to-market experiences, brand activations, and private events with the same rigor Nikita once applied to economics, math, and computer science. The goal is to sit at the intersection of hospitality and business strategy, where flawless execution meets measurable impact.
And the truth is, it’s more than a business plan. This work is instinctive. It’s what she’s proven to be good at, what she thinks about without trying, and what puts the biggest smile on her face. Because at the end of the day, eria isn’t just about events—it’s about the joy of making the impossible look effortless.
